Thursday
Byron Bay Film Festival
Byron Bay Community Theatre

Sound Crucible says thanks to the Byron Bay Film Festival and presents an evening welcoming the alien, the UFO, cheering for the the outsider and embracing the other.

Those of you who have experienced any of the Sound Crucible events in the last five years will know, out there sounds and visuals abound always!

The line up for the night are three local groups Co.polymer, Muttboy & VJ Nuth'n and for the very first time at a Sound Crucible event and fresh from Disembraining Machine, Tralala Blip.

The Sound Crucible team, as Muttboy and VJ Nuth'n combine again for the Byron Bay Film Festival to present an experimental audio/visual performance with real time interventions and as always, with true grit and great love.

Tralala Blip will sonically explore current concerns such as "soccer in outer space" and "dinosaurs versus robots".  Rhythmic and melodic uses of sine waves, found sounds, pink noise and vocals will be improvised in an attempt to draw fresh insights directly from the ether onto these subjects.

Co.polymer have weighed in with the ‘ Sound of Concrete ‘ (with the pictures to prove it) and will tell you ‘Why Robots Make Good Lovers’ before chilling you right down with a sneak Byron preview of their magnum opus ‘The Ice Suite’.
